Admissions
Nursery Admissions
Christchurch Primary School has a Nursery accommodating 52 children in both morning and afternoon sessions.
We can admit children to our Nursery in the school term after their third birthday if spaces are available. Parents are entitled to 15 hours of free Early Years education for their child each week (i.e. 5 sessions of 3 hours/day for 38 weeks).
To apply for a Nursery place for your child please fill out the form on the link below to add your child's name to the waiting list.
Priorities for admission are as follows:
- “looked after children” who are in the care of a Local Authority as defined by section 22 of the Children Act 1989 and are still expected to be in care when due to be admitted to school;
- exceptional medical or social reasons, which should be supported by a qualified professional directly involved with child;
- siblings with preference to older children according to their date of birth; and
- all other applicants with preference to older children.
The statutory right to appeal does not apply to admissions to nursery classes
Please note, a place in a nursery class DOES NOT guarantee that your child will be admitted to the school. You will need to apply again for a place in a reception class at the appropriate time.
