Governors Parent Survey Response
Thank you for taking the time to complete the parent questionnaire. The Governors were very pleased with the number of parents that responded to the questionnaire. In total 301 responses were collected and analysed by the Governing body.
It is good to know that parents are so positive about the school and feel that their children feel safe, secure, and happy and are making good progress. It is great to see that a large majority of parents feel that the school has high expectations for their children, that it communicates well with parents and is well led and managed. Parents also felt strongly that the school provides a good range of activities for pupils to take part in, that we respond well to concerns that are raised and prepare children well for the future.
Some of the areas that parents would like us to review in more detail with the school include homework and the role of school Governors. Homework is an area that the school continues to review on a regular basis with pupils and parents. They will continue to seek feedback on this area and look for ways to develop and improve this area further in the future. As Governors we are aware that not all parents are clear about our role within school or who we are. We are going to try to ensure that we improve this area by adding more information to our website, visiting school on a more regular basis and becoming more visible around school e.g. during school events.
